Gate motor thief apprehended in Florentia
“There has been a increase in the theft of gate motors in the Alberton area.”
Fox Security’s reaction units and SWS Security arrested a suspect on September 4 in Susanna Street, Florentia.
According to the operations manager from Fox Security, Elowayne Gouws, they responded to panic signals from a client in Susanna Street.
“Upon arrival, it was established our client saw the suspect attempting to steal his gate motor.”
Teamwork from Fox Security and SWS Security led to the suspect’s arrest. The suspect’s tools used to steal the motor were also recovered on the scene.
The suspect was handed over to Alberton SAPS.
“There has been an increase in the theft of gate motors in the Alberton area. We urge anyone who spots any suspicious behaviour to report to our control room immediately. Well done to all involved,” said Gouws.
