Brackenhurst Primary celebrates spring week

Brackenhurst Primary School decided to go green and promote a healthy living environment by celebrating spring all week.

This was decided upon by teachers Kirsten Capell and Samantha Lawrenz who organised a 10 per cent discount for the school at Sharondale Garden Centre.

Learners were afforded an opportunity to bring along plants and seeds to be planted around the school.

Melody Pheiffer, a teacher at the school, said: “Learners also got to be creative around the classroom as they participated in a competition. The best classroom spring decor was announced winner, as well as the teacher with the best spring hat. This is a new tradition for our school.”
