A Klopperpark family was left in shock after two men broke into their home earlier today.

According to Bedfordview SAPS spokesperson Capt Andre de Jager, the family’s children and domestic worker were inside the home at the time of the incident.

“Neither the domestic worker nor the children were confronted by the men,” he said.

De Jager explained that should contact have been made during the burglary the case would have been registered as a residential robbery.

In video footage of the burglary, one man can be seen breaking open the garden access gate to the property before breaking open the home’s security gate.

He then proceeds to kick down the front door.

A second man then enters the house before leaving with a television set.

The Bedfordview SAPS confirmed that a case of house burglary and theft was opened following the incident.
