Ekurhuleni boxing champions honoured
“We salute you on behalf of Ekurhuleni Boxing Organisation,” said Don Ngqoyi to the champions and officials being honoured.
Alberton Boxing Club hosted the Ekurhuleni Boxing Organisation for an award ceremony on February 27 to celebrate the contribution made by local boxing champions and boxing officials to the sport.
The event celebrated esteemed boxers from Ekurhuleni who between them have held multiple national titles both in South Africa and globally. These boxers were celebrated for representing the Ekurhuleni through their efforts.
The officials present were honoured for their work in enabling the sport.
“We salute you on behalf of Ekurhuleni Boxing Organisation, the entire boxing fraternity and the nation,” said Don Ngqoyi, chairperson for development at Ekurhuleni Boxing.
“May you realise that we hold you in high esteem. We revere you highly and we cherish you. Well done.”
