WATCH: Ekurhuleni budget: MMC calls for cooperation

The City of Ekurhuleni says the new budget will focus on completing delayed projects, improving service delivery and addressing infrastructure challenges across the metro.

MMC for Finance Jongizizwe Dlabathi has called on council members to put aside personal differences and work together in the interest of residents following the tabling of the City of Ekurhuleni’s R71b budget.

Dlabathi acknowledged that the budget is not perfect, but said it is designed to prioritise the completion of long-standing and unfinished projects before the municipality embarks on new developments.
