Scores of people have gathered on the outskirts of the Germiston CBD near Germiston Spar as they begin marching in protest against illegal immigration.

The group was also spotted on President Street, moving towards Herman Immelman stadium.

The group is the first to be spotted in the area today ahead of the anticipated June 30 non-violent march.

Residents are urged to exercise caution, as additional groups and increased activity are expected in the area throughout the morning.

Motorists should also anticipate possible traffic disruptions and consider alternative routes where necessary.
