Heidelberg Rally: See all the action here
The Heidelberg leg of National Rally Championship was a resounding success with thousands of spectators and 22 teams that participated.
Action, action and more action. Residents flocked in their thousands to Heidelberg Mall and dirt roads around Heidelberg to see the 22 teams of the National Rally Championship in action. Members of Heidelberg CPF did an outstanding job in acting as marshals.
The Heidelberg Rally was a first time for the town and residents can look forward to next year’s event that promises to be even bigger.

Leeroy Poulter and Elv1éne Coetzee took their fifth straight victory of the year and moved into a virtually unassailable lead in the championship. The 2014 champions had the fastest time on ten of the fourteen stages with Ernie van der Walt and Gerhard Snyman taking three stage wins.
Giniel de Villiers (former Dakar winner) retired after Saturday’s first stage with a double puncture.
