Foreign National operating an illegal warehouse from a residential house in Nigel

And printing "expiry date stickers" for foodstuffs is arrested - printing machine and food items confiscated.

In a joint operation comprising of the EMPD Community Liaison Unit (CLU) and SAPS Crime Intelligence members, a male foreign national was arrested on Tuesday, 18 December around 16:30, following a tip off from the community of Mackenzieville in Nigel when an illegal warehouse was uncovered at his residential house in Gandhi Street.

The man was found to be using an industrial printer producing stickers and kimballs for foodstuff items which were found stashed in every possible space in his house. Four local women found at the house claimed they were employees of the man.

The 38-year-old suspect was detained at Nigel Police Station. The printer and foodstuff items found at the house were booked in at the police station. He is expected to appear in the Nigel Magistrate’s Court soon.
