BREAKING: Shot fired as Flying Squad recover stolen vehicle

The Gauteng Flying Squad recovered a stolen Toyota Hilux on the N3 Toll De Hoek Plaza just outside of Heidelberg.

Members of the Gauteng Flying Squad in Germiston received a call regarding a white Toyota Hilux en route to Johannesburg that was stolen in Durban earlier this morning (November 1). The Flying Squad headed to De Hoek Toll Plaza on the N3, where they spotted the suspect vehicle.

The suspect was signalled to stop the vehicle but recklessly sped off. Police then fired a warning shot through their own windshield at the suspect vehicle. The suspect immediately pulled over and was arrested by members of the Flying Squad.
