In the first instance, a badly decomposed body of a coloured male was found in one of the buildings at Nigel Taxi Rank on December 8.

According to police spokesperson Sgt Dwaba, SAPS Nigel received information from the public about a putrid smell emitting from one of the buildings and upon investigation, police discovered the decaying body on the floor.

Another body, that of a 62-year-old African male from Duduza, was discovered in an open veld next to the R550 (Spaarwater Road) on December 8 by a pedestrian. The circumstances surrounding his death is unkown and police are investigating a murder case.

In another incident, a 39-year-old male from Alrapark was shot and killed at his house on December 5.

“The exact circumstances leading to his death is not yet known and there are no witnesses. The investigation continues,” Sgt Dwaba said.
