Mayor of Lesedi Local Municipality test positive for Covid-19
Lesedi Local Municipality (LLM) advised in a media release today that the mayor, Mluleki Nkosi has tested positive for Covid-19.
Mluleki received his results this morning (11 June) after undergoing the testing process.
The mayor presented mild symptoms before being advised to undergo the testing process on Wednesday June 9th. As a result of testing positive, the mayor will be in isolation for ten days and will work from home whilst monitoring his health.
This is in accordance with the World Health Organisation (WHO) protocols.
All persons that have been in contact with the mayor are encouraged to take the necessary quarantine precautionary measures.
LLM wished the mayor a speedy recovery and look forward to his return in the coming weeks.
The municipality continues to do everything to protect staff members against the risk of contracting Covid-19.
