Heidelberg SAPS celebrate Mandela Day
67 Minutes for Mandela Day at Heidelberg Police Station.
On July 20 Heidelberg SAPS celebrated Mandela Day with a clean-up of the police station with the help of Sedibeng College students.
Heidelberg SAPS members spent their 67 minutes cleaning their offices and the SAPS yard in an attempt to ensure the community will be assisted in a clean and organised environment.
The Sedibeng students who came to help wanted to know more about the role of the police in the community’s daily lives and what their responsibilities are.
The students were taken to the various offices where the SAPS members interact with the public to learn about the various aspects and paperwork that needs to be done for the police to do their duties.
After the tour around the police station, there were comments that this might be the career that some of the students would like to pursue.
