Defeating substance abuse together

The Duduza SAPS formed part of a recent master class to defeat substance abuse and encourage recovery.

The event was organised by Ward 86 Clr Nsiza Mekgwe.

The stakeholders involved in the event included Correctional Services, the Duduza SAPS, SANCA, Skill Development Centre, Youth Desk, Community Safety, CPF, WASP, FBOs and victims and recovering substance users.

“It is one thing to have a drug awareness day, but it is another thing to have stakeholders reaffirm their commitment to playing a meaningful role in uplifting the community,” ” said Sergeant Harry Manaka, communications officer for Duduza SAPS.

“The Duduza SAPS will continue to confront and stop drug trafficking,” Manaka said.
