APCOC hosts fun walk

Participants walked a route of 5km to raise awareness.

ALRA PARK – Members of the Alra Park Can Over Come (APCOC) organisation held a fun walk on November 26.
The day aimed to raise cancer awareness in the community.

“APCOC’s main aim is to motivate, coach, mentor and assist people in our community living with cancer and other life-threatening illnesses,” said Jezel Esbend of the organisation.

“Part of the fun walk was to also raise funds for APCOC and to get more people involved.”

Around 80 people joined the 5km fun walk.

Participants received medals upon completion of the route.
