Company and Provisional Tax: Your deadline is February 28

February 28, 2025 is the last day on which companies can submit their Company Tax Return (ITR14) and provisional taxpayers their Provisional Tax Return (IRP6).

All companies with a February year-end must submit their ITR14 on or before February 28. The ITR14 must include details about your company’s income, expenses, and tax calculations. Submit correct and accurate information on time and avoid paying penalties and interest.

This deadline applies to all the registered companies, irrespective of size and financial performance. It makes no difference what industry a company is in, or if it is operating at a loss or has not traded.

For information on how to complete the ITR14 form accurately, visit SARSTV on YouTube for a video on how to submit your Income Tax Return on eFiling.

 Provisional Tax

A provisional taxpayer is a person or organisation that receives income other than remuneration. Companies registered for Income Tax with a February year-end should pay their Provisional Tax by 28 February 2025.

Provisional Tax is based on the company’s estimated annual income. It is designed to help spread out tax payments and ease the year-end burden.
