A guide to the many variations of Brazilian hair wig caps
Brazilian hair wigs come in all shapes and sizes. This is what you need to know about hair wig caps.

Are you looking for a hairstyle to start or add to your collection of Brazilian hair wigs but wondering which type of cap you should get? There are so many different types of cap constructions available on the market that it can be a bit overwhelming to choose the perfect one.
The first thing a buyer must pay attention to when looking at Brazilian hair wigs is the hairstyle, more specifically the texture, length, cut, and colour, because most people tend to leave the cap construction as the last part to be evaluated. But this is actually one of the most important elements of Brazilian hair wigs. The cap will determine how realistic the wig will look and how easy it will be to install and secure it on your head.
Here is a look at all types of wig caps so that you can make an informed decision next time you are searching for a new Brazilian hair wig.
T-part wigs
A t-part wig has a deep middle or side lace part line and also has lace all around the front part of the wig, following the hairline, where it connects to facial hair. This position of the lace creates a “T” shape, which explains the name of this cap construction. The width of the “T” can vary quite a lot, being quite narrow, just around the deep part line, or going from ear-to-ear and becoming what most people know as lace front wigs.
Lace-front wigs
Lace from wigs has an ear-to-ear lace section at the front part of the wig, with the most common size being 13 inches long by 1 inch deep. The majority of lace front wigs also have a lace part line (like on the T-part wigs), which may be positioned in the centre or on either side of the head. When you choose a lace front wig, you must know that you won’t be able to open a part line in any other part of your wig since the placement of the lace will dictate where your hair will be parted.

If you invest in good-quality human hair wigs that have internal combs and straps in the cap, like the one above from LolaSilk, you won’t need to add any glue or adhesive tape to secure the wig on your head.
Closure wigs
Closure wigs have a square lace on the top of the wig, right in the middle. The most common size is 4×4 inches, but you will also find 5×5 inches or even 6×6 inches. Brazilian-hair wigs with lace closure allow you to part your hair more freely, but they do not allow you to create updo hairstyles like lace front wigs because the lace does not cover the entire front part of your hairline.

Frontal wigs
Frontal wigs are very similar to lace-front wigs, but the lace part goes much deeper on the top of the wig. The normal lace area is 13×4 inches or 13×6 inches, which covers the entire front part of the head, giving you amazing flexibility to open a part line anywhere you want.
A frontal wig allows you to pluck your hairline deeper than 1 inch, which can create extremely realistic hairlines. Just keep in mind that the more you pluck your wig, the shorter it will last because the front area will already have much less hair density.

360-Lace wigs
This type of Brazilian hair wig has a lace part that wraps around the wig rather than being concentrated at the front like the previous wig cap constructions earlier discussed. They are much more expensive and more difficult to get installed because you will probably require glue or adhesive to secure the wig on your head. If you like to style your wig into high updos or ponytails, you should invest in this type of Brazilian hair wig. However, if you do not intend to style your hair in this manner, there is no reason to invest so much more in a 360-lace wig.
Full-lace wigs
You won’t find so many options of Brazilian hair wigs with full lace caps on the market because they are just extremely expensive and require a lot more effort to get installed than the 360-lace wigs. (they are as difficult as the 360, not more difficult). Anything that you want to build in terms of a hairstyle, you can achieve with the other types of cap construction. The only benefit of a full lace wig is that it will feel much lighter on your head, and it will allow your natural hair to breathe better underneath the wig.
Headband wigs
Brazilian hair wigs with headbands have no lace, and the hair is attached directly to the headband. This type of wig is extremely easy to install in the morning and to remove at night. Because they have no lace, they tend to be much more affordable, which is one of the reasons why they became so popular. You can also build high updos with this type of wig and accessorise it with different styles of headbands.

You can wear the LolaSilk headband wig to cover your hairline or to add to your own baby hair.
U-part wigs
This type of wig has an opening at the top, where normally there will be a lace closure covering it. This u-shaped opening allows you to leave out your own natural hair, which will be used to blend in with the rest of the wig. Because you are leaving your natural hair out of the wig, this can give you a very realistic look, but you would have to invest some time in creating the perfect blend between your own hair and the wig.
