A recent joint operation between the Duduza SAPS Crime Intelligence Gathering (CIG) and the EMPD Special Task Team led to the arrest of three suspects in the area.
The first suspect was arrested in the Zamani section for suspected dealing in dagga.
A large consignment of dagga was also confiscated.
The other two suspects were arrested for being in possession of drugs and a firearm with three rounds of live ammunition.
Cash, identity cards and bank cards belonging to different people were also recovered as the suspects couldn’t give satisfactory explanations.
The Duduza SAPS acting station commander Captain Petrus Mabuza applauded the members for their hard work and thanked the community for partnering with the police in the fight against crime.
