Entities raise GBV awareness

The community was warned about human trafficking.

The Ratanda SAPS held a 16 Days of Activism for No Violence Against Women and Children Campaign drive on December 6.

Social Crime Prevention, the Department of Social Development, Siyabengena patrollers, SANCA, the Ratanda Youth Desk, the Lesedi Local Municipality, Agape Leratho Community Services, GBV Brigades and Greendoor ambassadors went door-to-door in Ratanda Ext 7 and Tokohong Phase.

The campaign aimed to educate the community about GBV.

The entities distributed pamphlets about GBV and festive season safety tips.

Communities were encouraged to drink responsibly and abstain from using drugs.

They also received information about human trafficking and whom to trust.
