Dedication leads to conviction

Ratanda SAPS station commander Lieutenant Colonel Maleleki Isaac Ramotshabi applauded the dedicated work of Detective Constable Bongane Israel Lunga, who worked non-stop to secure the conviction of Tebogo Mthembu.

Mthembu robbed a man of his belongings in Ratanda in June 2019.

Dedication and following up on various leads contributed to a successful arrest.

Mthembu was sentenced on February 22 in the Heidelberg Regional Court to 15 years imprisonment for robbery with aggravating circumstances.

Ramotshabi also thanked the Ratanda community for working together with the police.
