Three men threatened the victim at gunpoint, assaulted him with a stone and stabbed him with a knife.
One culprit was arrested and convicted.
Morena David Mofokeng was sentenced on March 5 in the Heidelberg Regional Court to 10 years imprisonment for robbery with aggravating circumstances.
Detective Cleopatra Hleziphi was the investigating officer who secured the conviction.
