Long arm of the law strikes

Heidelberg SAPS made various arrests during the week.

Heidelberg SAPS officers are taking criminals off the streets.

According to station commander Colonel Phiwe Ndwandwe, the Social Crime Prevention Unit arrested 10 people for drug possession and two for dealing in narcotics.

One suspect was arrested for being in possession of live ammunition, and another was arrested for fraud and theft of a trailer.

In addition, one toy gun, 10 knives and two screwdrivers were confiscated during a stop-and-search operation.

All the arrested suspects are to appear in the Heidelberg Magistrate’s Court.
