Suspects arrested with stolen goats in Heidelberg
Officers intercept stolen goats being transferred between bakkies in Shalimar Ridge, leading to arrests and the recovery of livestock reported stolen in Limpopo.

Heidelberg SAPS assisted in the discovery of livestock that was reported stolen in Limpopo.
Heidelberg SAPS members were on patrol along Kismet Street, Shalimar Ridge on March 18 when they noticed goats being off loaded from a bakkie with Limpopo registration plates to another bakkie with Gauteng registration plates.
The SAPS members asked for proof of ownership for the goats and the people loading the livestock could not prove ownership.

The identification tags that were attached to the ears were all cut off and that raised further suspicion.
The SAPS members arrested the suspects and confiscated the livestock.
Further investigation came to light that a case docket for stock theft was reported in Limpopo.
The livestock were taken to a pound in the Northwest and the suspects will appear in the Heidelberg Magistrate’s Court.
