Body discovered in Heidelberg CBD

Passers-by discovered a body at the corner of Begeman and Uckermann streets in Heidelberg at around 08:00 on September 25.

Heidelberg SAPS were summoned to the scene. No blankets or personal items were found near the body, making it unclear whether the individual had been sleeping there.

Preliminary investigations revealed no foul play. An inquest will be conducted to determine the cause of death, though authorities currently do not suspect any criminal activity.

Investigations are ongoing.
