Weekly crime stats: Police record thefts, burglary and armed robbery incidents
Two hijackings involving kidnappings were also reported on the N3 and R23, with vehicles and valuables stolen.
The following crimes were reported to Heidelberg SAPS between April 27 to May 3.
These statistics are shared to create community awareness about current crime trends in the area.

• Rensburg – Business burglary, AG Visser Street, April 28 at 01:40.
• National Road 3 – Theft from motor vehicle, N3 south freeway, April 27 at 23:30.
• Rensburg – General theft, Jopie Fourie Street, undisclosed date at 22:00.
• Houtpoort – Damage to essential infrastructure, April 28 at 17:45.
