On November 25, constables Nomasonto Qwabe, Nonjabulo Ndlovu and Gate Xaba, and sergeants S’bongile Ndlela and Suhla Ngoma were promoted at Devon SAPS.
Qwabe, Ndlovu and Xaba were promoted to the rank of sergeant while Ndlela and Ngoma were promoted to warrant officer.
Devon Station commander Lieutenant Colonel Thokozile Ndou congratulated the members and reminded them about the oath they took, the pledge and the mandate of Section 205 of the Constitution.
Ndou said, “You must be proud of yourselves for being one of the assets in the SAPS because the rotten potatoes are thrown out of the service daily.”
Ndou was also promoted from captain to lieutenant colonel.
