Heidelberg Radio to host choir competition
The competition will feature at least 10 choirs.
The Heidelberg Radio Station will be hosting an Easter Clash of the Voices choir competition on April 29.
“The competition will allow the competing choirs an opportunity to be on the air as the station will be broadcasting live,” said Taded Ncholo of the Heidelberg Radio Station.
“At least 10 choirs will be competing for an opportunity to record a radio-quality song which will also be played at the Heidelberg Radio Station for two months.”
It is the first time that the Heidelberg Radio Station will be hosting this competition, which they plan on making an annual event.
The competition will be held at the Heidelberg Town Hall at 12:00 on the day and will feature a guest performer and guest judge.
Entry costs for the first 10 choirs will be R150 as a once-off registration fee.
Tickets can be purchased by non-contestants at R60 for adults and R30 for children.
