The Lesedi Men’s Sector and the Agape and Anova NGOs held a men’s health event, themed Grooming Boys to Become Responsible Men, on November 23.
The event at the Ratanda Multi-Purpose Hall saw a series of presentations on GBV, behavioural change and men’s health.
Questions and discussions followed on issues affecting young men. An emphasis was put on boys and young men to get involved in sports, take care of their health and join Health for Men clubs, thus avoiding exposure to substance abuse and GBV and becoming responsible men.
There were also exhibitions on information and health screening and testing services by various service providers.
