Power outage to affect Shalimar Ridge, Indian Town and Heidelberg Industrial Area
Residents and businesses in parts of Heidelberg are advised to prepare for a scheduled electricity interruption on October 28, from 09:00 to 16:00 while repairs are carried out at Bunsen Substation.
Residents and businesses in parts of Heidelberg have been notified of a planned electricity supply interruption on October 28.
According to a notice from the Lesedi Local Municipality, the power outage is scheduled from 09:00 to 16:00.
The affected areas are Shalimar Ridge, Indian Town and the industrial area.
The municipality said the interruption is necessary to allow a contractor to repair the main feeder cables at Bunsen Substation, which run parallel to each other.
Residents are urged to treat all electrical points as live throughout the outage period as a safety precaution.
The municipality apologised for any inconvenience caused and thanked residents for their patience and cooperation.
