Fun walk to celebrate Human Rights Day

Residents were also given the opportunity to take part in aerobics and stretching exercises.

Devon SAPS held a fun walk on March 21 as part of a mental health and wellness campaign.

Several role players including Devon SAPS social crime prevention and communication coordinator Constable Yvone Skosana, GBV Brigades, emergency medical services, Correctional Services, Usizolwethu Clinic, CPF members, community patrollers and religious leaders, were involved.

Residents laced up for the fun walk but were also given the opportunity to take part in aerobics and stretching exercises.

“The idea behind the fun walk, which also coincided with Human Rights Day, was to educate the community on mental health and fitness,” said Skosana.

The community celebrated Human Rights Day.
