Bullying and illegal initiation practices addressed

Ratanda SAPS visit school.

Ratanda SAPS visited Kgoro ya Thuto School on April 22.

Learners in Grades Nine to 12 were addressed about different issues, and the officers searched the school and learners.

The search was for dangerous weapons or instruments and illegal substances.

Role players on the day included the Ratanda SAPS social crime prevention coordinator, Vispol, Lesedi traffic officials, Siyangena patrollers and crime prevention wardens.

They addressed issues of bullying, sexual assault, human trafficking and illegal initiation practices were addressed.

“The learners were encouraged to report any form of criminal activities to the relevant authorities and to be an example for other learners and community members” said Sergeant Moss Maluleke, Ratanda SAPS corporate communications officer.
