Kingsway Park next in line for Nigel Clean-Up initiative

They are calling on all volunteers to help as there are various tasks to be performed on the day.

The Nigel Clean-Up initiative continues on their mission to clean up the town.

They are inviting anyone who wants to get involved to meet them on May 18 opposite Ferryvale SPAR where they will be selling boerewors rolls. The proceeds will go towards initiatives to keep the town clean.

“Our sponsors will be on deck, mastering the art of braai and we want the community to meet and greet these special people and business owners who are helping us in our quest to clean up the town,” Illze Willemse said.

Volunteers can also sign up on the day to join the Nigel Clean-Up team or to get involved with the next project they are embarking on – the Kingsway Park renovation project happening on June 1.

Equipment needed for the project is QD enamel paint – Excelsior QD enamel 3 in 1(red, green, yellow, blue), paint brushes, paint trays, rollers, drop sheets, grease and Q20, river sand (two cubes), conveyor belt for new swing seats, 6.8mm chains for swings and U-Bolt and lock tight, water-wise trees to plant in the park, bolt cutters, paint for the new mural and cement to plant new bins.
