HGC sponsor talented golfer

The field had 68 players who were encouraged by generous sponsors.

Heidelberg Golf Club (HGC) held a parent-and-child golf competition on June 1.

This entailed an adult golfer to team up with a junior golfer. The format was relatively simple; a scramble into the hole, and one could buy mulligans to assist the points.

The field had 68 players who were encouraged by generous sponsors.

The competition aimed to draw juniors into the game of golf, as they are the future of the club.

”We are fortunate to have talented junior golfers who have displayed their talent in various golf tournaments.
“We had a fantastic golf day, which resulted in a great fundraiser. Owing to our success, we decided to sponsor one of our most talented junior golfers with payment of annual membership, affiliation fees and golf lessons,” Jane Langheim HGC said. She added a big thank you to the sponsors and organisers.

“It was a memorable golf day and we are looking forward to assisting our future ‘Scottie Scheffler’”, Langheim said.
