Gymnasts from the Nigel Gymnastics Club participated in several competitions recently.
In May, the club entered 22 gymnasts into the Ekhuruleni District Level Three competition.
Twenty-one of these gymnasts received their Ekurhuleni district colours and qualified to compete at the Gauteng Festival in Pretoria at the end of May.
During this competition, 19 Nigel gymnasts competed.
All these competitors qualified for the zone competition on June 14 and 15. The club’s gymnasts competed against opponents from Gauteng, Limpopo, Mpumalanga and Free State.
“We are proud of their achievements in this season. It shows commitment and hard work from all our gymnasts,” said Charlene Maritz, Nigel Gymnastics Club head coach and owner.
