Ratanda weightlifter Raymond Ntoapane (54) competed in the IBFF (International Bodybuilding and Fitness Federation) Mr Universe on October 26 at the Midrand Conference Centre.
Over 300 competitors and athletes from all over the world participated.
Raymond participated in the 50-60 year age group.
Throughout the competition and its disciplines, Ntoapane showed the judges what he was capable of and finished in the top four in his age group.
“I initially planned to take a break, but the bug has bitten me again, and I want to see how far I can push myself in the new year. I am ready to go big and show what I am made of,” said Ntoapane.
Part of his plans will be to be a personal trainer at the Dream Physique Health & Fitness gym in Heidelberg.
