Ratanda SAPS, community unite against crime

The SAPS Sedibeng district management led by Brigadier Sibongile Ndaba visited Ratanda to receive first-hand updates and discuss crime-related issues in the area on November 20.

The meeting at the Ratanda Multipurpose Hall reported on criminal activities, gave safety tips for the festive season, reported back on current cases and stepped up operations against second-hand dealers operating illegally.

There was also an information session about the informer network and how to register to become one.
Community members voiced their concerns about crime and related issues.

Ndaba guaranteed that the SAPS would be strengthened for the festive season.

Ratanda station commander Lieutenant Colonel Muleleki Isaac Ramotshabi updated the community about crime in the Ratanda area and thanked them for helping the SAPS fight criminals and criminal activities in Ratanda.

Ramotshabi encouraged the community members to form neighbourhood watches to help the police further in their fight against crime in the area.
