Stars and stripes impress at fundraising pageant

The judges had their hands full to choose because every contestant went all out.

HERAUT reported on November 18 about Carisa Botes, who is working hard to realise her dream of representing South Africa in 2025 at Pageant America in the USA. (Local model prepares for competition in USA)

The dynamic young model presented her own competition on November 29, as part of her fundraising projects for the USA.

Mr and Miss America Star took place in the school hall of Laerskool Tini Vorster and models of all categories dressed in the colours of the USA, red, blue and white, took the stage to impress the audience and especially the judges.

There were prizes for the top three in each category, for the most votes, best outfit, best personality, and the overall winner.

“I am very grateful to everyone who supported me and entered,” Carisa said, adding the day was a great success.
“I could not have done it without the support of my coaches from C & C Modeling Academy.

“Each participant brought something special to the stage; no matter what the result was, each one was a winner in my heart,” Carisa said.

The judges had their hands full to choose because every contestant went all out.

Each model walked with confidence and made elegant turns in outfits carefully chosen to match the theme.

The spectacle concluded with all the models returning to the stage for a final bow before they announced the winners.

For Carisa, who trained in modelling, it was a day she spent behind the scenes.

“The competition not only helped me raise money for my trip to the USA, but it also taught me about how to organise a modelling competition,” she said.

The winners are as follows:

Age 0 – 5: Abigail Benson
