SAPS unite community to combat GBV
The community was encouraged to break their silence on GBV.
The Vaal Marina SAPS organised an event in support of the 16 Days of Activism for No Violence Against Women and Children Campaign on December 9.
During the event, Social Crime Prevention co-ordinator Constable Tshilidzi de Huis and the Siyabangena Patrollers engaged the Mamelo community on the importance of combating GBV.
“The objective was to raise awareness about GBV and promote unity with one another as a symbol of love,” said De Huis.
The role players showed they care by giving time and clothing to the community in the spirit of Christmas.
The community was encouraged to break their silence on any GBV.
After the event, the community took hands with the members in a prayer of appreciation and thanksgiving
