Cambridge returns to winning ways
Cambridge makes it count in the Hollywood Bets league.

The Cambridge Football Club in Alra Park is competing in the highly competitive Hollywood Bets League.
After enduring two consecutive losses in recent matches, the team bounced back impressively.
On February 2, Cambridge turned the recent setbacks into a positive result by securing a 3-0 victory over the Ambassadors at the Tembisa Esiqongweni ground.
In contrast to the previous matches, Cambridge came out on fire and pressured Tembisa into making various mistakes.
In the beginning, Cambridge caught Tembisa off guard on defence. With cohesive play and retained possession, Cambridge struck within 10 minutes when Njabulo Ntjebe Mahlangu got the ball into the goal.
Thereafter, Cambridge pushed forward on each opportunity, and the second goal was scored from a penalty when Kgotso Makhura sent the ball into the net.
Mbongisei Dlamini scored the third goal, lobbing the ball over the goalkeeper’s head.

The second half was more tactical – new players were introduced and possession was key. Tembisa tried to score, but good play from the Alra Park team kept them scoreless.
“Football is about planning strategies. We plan each match separately and will always aim to win. If we stick to our plans and work together, we are a formidable team,” said John Mourinho Mosia, the Cambridge head coach.
“This is our first Tembisa win since promotion into the Hollywood Bets league. We are delighted to bounce back to winning ways and hope the boys remain consistent. We have a good group of players to compete at the highest level. We call on Nigel companies to assist the club financially because it is a big problem to travel all over Ekurhuleni,” concluded Ignatius Maphike, the Cambridge FC chairperson.
