EFF wants 2 Lesedi Local Municipality officials out
Allegations were made against the pair.
The Gauteng branch of the EFF has called for the removal of two office bearers in the Lesedi Local Municipality (LLM).
The party has demanded the immediate suspension and criminal prosecution of municipal manager Subusiso Dhlamini and that the appointment of CFO Gugulethu Mncube immediately revoked.
This follows allegations of sexual harassment, abuse of power and misconduct by Dhlamini and allegations that Mncube does not meet the minimum competency requirements for the CFO position.
In response to the issue, LLM spokesperson Kahleho Seaga said a council meeting was called on February 18 to discuss the allegations against Dhlamini.
On February 25, an independent external investigator was appointed to investigate the allegations.
The LLM gave the investigator 30 days to complete the investigation and present it to council.
