Nigel mom empowers community through tech and charity
As a finalist in the Diva Mom competition, Esbend is representing not just herself but every woman who balances purpose, parenting and passion.
Jezel Esbend, a community builder and mother, continues to make a meaningful impact through various empowerment programmes and is now representing her strength and purpose in the Diva Mom competition.
The competition aims to uplift women, encourage self-love, and foster a sense of community among mothers. Participants take part in various charity projects and initiatives, making a positive impact beyond the runway.
With a heart rooted in service, Esbend recently led a fruit pack drive at local clinics, bringing smiles and nourishment to patients and visitors.
“It wasn’t just about the fruit. It was about making someone feel seen, valued, and loved, even for just a moment,” she said.
Esbend is also the driving force behind a community-based computer training programme that equips youth and adults with essential digital skills. The initiative focuses on teaching digital literacy, personal development, and entrepreneurship, particularly empowering young women, youth, and single mothers.
“To mentor and collaborate with local women, helping them find their voice and build their confidence, is one of my priorities,” she said.
“Technology is the future, and our people deserve to be ready.”
Her classes offer hands-on support to those often overlooked by formal institutions.
“As a finalist in the Diva Mom competition, I am proudly representing not just myself but every woman who balances purpose, parenting, and passion,” Esbend concluded.
