The City of Ekurhuleni’s (CoE) waste management services business unit urges residents to note changes to its waste collection calendar.

According to CoE spokesperson Zweli Dlamini, the city implemented the amendments on January 1, with some areas now being changed to different days of the week.

“The changes come in an effort to ensure effective and seamless service delivery,” he said.

“This schedule is valid until December 2027.

He said any complaints regarding uncollected waste can be logged with the CoE call centre on 0860 543 000, via email at call.centre@ekurhuleni.gov.za, or using the My CoE app.

The new dates are as follows:

Monday

Nigel: Sharon Park, Sharon Park Ext 1, Nigel CBD, Nigel Ext 3, Laversburg, Ferrvale.

Duduza: Duduza (Rose View), Duduza (Ndudula), Duduza Ext 3 (Mgashi Section).

Tuesday

Nigel: John Dube Ext 4, 5, and 6, Dunnottar (Spar side of Nigel Road), Nigel Ext 1, Nigel Ext 2.

Duduza: Masetjhaba Ext 1, Masetjhaba Ext 4, Bluegum View Ext 3.

Wednesday

Nigel: Visagie Park, Ferryvale Ext 1, Visagie Park Ext 1 and 2, Dunnottar: (Station side), Ferrvale

Duduza: Duduza (Sotho section), Duduza Ext 2 (Pooe), Bluegum Ext 5 (Butter), Bluegum Ext 4 (Zamani), Bluegum View Ext 6 (Spaar Water).

Thursday
