Sithokomele Primary School in Ratanda were thrilled to receive over 300 books and a new Digi Library Hub donated by Makhoba Professional Services in partnership with the Royal Academy of Engineering.
Sithokomele Primary School in Ratanda received a major boost to its learning resources on February 10, when over 300 books were donated by Makhoba Professional Services in partnership with the Royal Academy of Engineering.
The donation is part of the Opening Doors to Knowledge, One Book at a Time initiative and coincided with the launch of a new Digi Library Hub at the school.
The hub will serve learners across all grades, providing access to a wide range of educational resources.
Thabile Makhoba, founder and CEO of Makhoba Professional Services, emphasised the importance of access to knowledge.

“We are thrilled to support Sithokomele Primary School with this Digi Hub. Access to books is not just about reading; it also opens doors to curiosity, creativity, and critical thinking.” We want learners to feel inspired to dream big and to know that knowledge can take them far beyond the walls of the classroom. Education is the foundation for a brighter future, and we hope this hub becomes a place where learners discover their potential and develop a lifelong love for learning,” she said.
Pontsho Moletsane from the Royal Academy of Engineering said the donation aligns with their mission to improve lives through expertise and innovation.
“This initiative represents much more than the handing over of the books. It is about creating opportunities, fostering leadership, and building a community of learners who can make a positive impact in the world.
“Every child deserves access to knowledge, and we hope that these resources will empower students to explore new ideas, solve problems, and grow into leaders in their communities,” he said.
Principal Dudu Maboe Radebe said the school looks forward to seeing the learners thrive.

“Our learners are very excited about the Digi Library Hub. It will give them access to knowledge that was previously out of reach and help strengthen their reading and learning skills. We believe it will inspire them to achieve more in their studies and open up new opportunities for the future,” she said.
