Rensburg Forum members join SAPS in inspections of 3 scrap metal yards

Rensburg Forum members received practical training from SAPS during a joint operation in which three scrap metal yards were inspected to strengthen crime prevention and community safety in the area.

Members of the Rensburg Forum joined the SAPS in a joint operation on October 13, during which three scrap metal yards were inspected as part of efforts to strengthen crime prevention and community safety.

The operation provided an opportunity for forum members to receive practical training and guidance from police officers on operational procedures and scrap metal yard inspections.

The initiative aimed to familiarise community safety members with the inspection process and improve their understanding of law enforcement procedures, enabling them to contribute more effectively to crime prevention efforts in their community.

Sector commander Walter Shivambu was commended by the Rensburg Forum for sharing his knowledge and guiding members during the operation, with the forum expressing appreciation for his commitment to developing community safety structures and strengthening SAPS cooperation.

Members who participated in the operation were also thanked for their willingness to learn and work alongside the police.

The Rensburg Forum emphasised that continued collaboration, practical training and strong partnerships between law enforcement and community structures are essential in the fight against crime.
