Nigel Rugby Club marked a strong start to the season on March 21 with a series of friendly matches at the Heidelberg Rugby Club venue, showing early signs of form and determination ahead of the President’s Cup.

The Nigel U20 team secured an impressive 25–17 victory over Union Rugby Club. The match saw Nigel score five tries while keeping their opponents scoreless, highlighting both attacking flair and solid defence.

Meanwhile, Nigel’s third team faced Union U21 in a friendly match that was called off due to rain and lightning in the fifth minute of the second half.

At the time, Nigel was leading 17–0, showing their dominance before the weather intervened.

Looking ahead, Nigel Rugby Club is preparing for the kick-off of the President’s Cup.

12:30: Nigel U20 vs Elsburg U20

14:00: Nigel second team vs Vanderbiljpark second team

15:30: Nigel first team vs Vanderbiljpark first team.
