Tshwaranang FC appeals for community support as Regional League campaign beckons

After securing promotion to the Regional League, Ratanda-based Tshwaranang FC is seeking sponsorship to cover transport, affiliation and referee costs for the 2026/2027 season.

Tshwaranang Football Club is calling on local businesses, organisations and community members to support its upcoming Regional League campaign after securing promotion for the 2026/2027 season.

Head coach Tumetsi Transport Mochane said the promotion represents an important milestone for the club, but financial support will be essential to ensure the team can compete throughout the season.

“We are very proud of what the team has achieved by earning promotion to the Regional League. However, competing at this level entails additional responsibilities and costs, especially when travelling for away matches.

“We are therefore appealing to businesses and community members to support us. Every contribution will make a difference and help our players represent Ratanda with pride,” he said.

Tshwaranang is scheduled to play 34 league matches, comprising 17 home fixtures and 17 away fixtures.

The club estimates its total season budget at R49 200, covering league affiliation, transport and referee fees. The club is accepting both full and partial sponsorships.

Supporters can also contribute towards individual away trips, estimated at R2 300 per trip, or sponsor five trips for approximately R11 500.

In return, sponsors will receive exposure through branding on team jerseys and tracksuits, social media acknowledgements, certificates of sponsorship and team photographs in branded kit.

Sponsors will also receive verbal recognition during home matches. Mochane said the sponsorship drive is also about creating opportunities for young footballers.

“This is bigger than just playing football. We want to give young players from Ratanda the opportunity to compete at a higher level, gain experience and develop their talent. With the support of our community and local businesses, we can build something sustainable for the future,” he said.

The club has committed to financial accountability and will provide sponsors with receipts, photographs and transport invoices following sponsored trips.

Potential sponsors are encouraged to come on board before August 30, as the club prepares for its first Regional League campaign.
