Ratanda Bertha Gxowa and Khanya Lesedi to represent Sedibeng East at Gauteng Kay Motsepe finals
Victories at the regional finals have earned the schools a place at the provincial championship in Tshwane on September 5.
Ratanda Bertha Gxowa U13 Girls and Khanya Lesedi Sports School of Specialization have secured their places in the Gauteng Schools Kay Motsepe Championships after emerging victorious at the regional finals.
The regional finals were held on August 22, at Laerskool Sonlandpark in Vereeniging, where schools from Sedibeng East, Sedibeng West and Gauteng West competed for a place in the provincial championships.
Representing the Sedibeng East District in their respective categories, Ratanda Bertha Gxowa U/13 Girls and Khanya Lesedi Sports School of Specialisation delivered strong performances to win their categories.
Their victories have earned them the opportunity to represent the district at the Gauteng Schools Kay Motsepe Championship on September 5 in Tshwane.

They will face other regional champions from across the province, including representatives from Johannesburg, Tshwane and Ekurhuleni.
The provincial championship will give the two Sedibeng East schools an opportunity to compete against some of the best school teams in Gauteng while showcasing the sporting talent emerging from the region.
The achievement marks a proud moment for the schools, their learners, coaches and the wider Sedibeng East school-sport community as they prepare for the provincial stage.
