EMPD superintendent wins law enforcement officer of the year at SAPS Ekurhuleni District Excellence Awards 2025/2026.

The EMPD proudly congratulates Superintendent Pamela Bulelwa Buthelezi who was nominated and subsequently won the Law Enforcement Officer of the Year category at the SAPS Ekurhuleni District Excellence Awards 2025/2026.

The prestigious awards ceremony was held on October 2 at Bazme Adab Centre in Actonville to recognise outstanding performance, dedication and commitment to policing excellence within the Ekurhuleni District.

Buthelezi was nominated in the Law Enforcement Officer of the Year category for her exceptional leadership, unwavering professionalism, and significant contribution to law enforcement and crime prevention initiatives in the City of Ekurhuleni.

Her commitment to service delivery, discipline and community safety distinguished her among her peers, earning her the coveted title of Law Enforcement Officer of the Year.

EMPD Chief of Police Isaac Mapiyeye, together with the entire EMPD management and personnel, extends heartfelt congratulations to Buthelezi for flying the EMPD flag high and for her sterling work in serving the residents of Ekurhuleni with pride and integrity.
