Jordaan retains seat as Safa president

Jordaan beat his competition by a landslide securing him a third term as president at the association.

Dr Danny Jordaan has been re-elected as president of the South African Football Association

The football governing body in South Africa held its elective congress at the Sandton Convention Centre on Saturday, where the 70-year-old beat out competition from Ria Ledwaba and Solly Mohlabeng to secure a unanimous victory.

Safa confirmed that Jordaan received 186 votes, with Ria Ledwaba coming in second with 27 votes while Solly Mohlabeng finished third with eight votes.

The veteran football administrator, who was first elected as president in 2013, will now be entering his third term as the head of the association.
