Police and Councillor avert attack
Customer find white powdery substance in packet of cigarettes.
Breyten Police and ward 14 Councilor Sunday “Oupa” Msibi successfully averted a possible attack against a foreign national after a customer found a white powdery substance believed to be drugs in a packet of cigarettes bought from his shop on Saturday.
The police managed to break a scuffle between angry residents, the shop owner and his associate.
The police took away the shop owner to safety and a the Ermelo K9 unit was called in to sniff out any drugs in the shop.
The Police released their K9 (Tarzan) to sniff out any drugs in the store, however non were found.
Ward 14 councilor Sunday “Oupa” Msibi and the police had to calm down the visibly angry crowd, and he asked for calm and cooperation as the police continue their investigation.
