Premier still alive and recovering from home

The premier is alive and recovering.

Following several media enquiries regarding the health of Mpumalanga Premier D.D. Mabuza and untrue comments on social media sites, the office of the premier released an update on his health.

Mabuza’s spokesman Zibonele Mncwango issued a statement explaining that the premier is alive and recovering. He said the premier never collapsed but was initially admitted to Nelspruit MediClinic, however a second opinion was sought in Netcare Milpark Hospital in Gauteng.

The statement also states that the premier is still resting and recovering well. Mncwango also requested respect for doctor and patient confidentiality.

In the statement, suggestions that the premier is confused and not alert were ruled untrue and highly speculative and the premiers office believes that such has the potential of hurting the family.

In the statement, Mncwango further stated that these allegations are unsensitive, vicious, malicious and damaging. “The office of the premier wishes to appeal to the public especially users of social media to refrain from spreading such rumours about the premier,”said Mncwango in the statement.
